At Novus Print, we value the expertise and dedication of our team members. We are currently seeking to appoint an Information Technology Desktop Support Technician who will support employees on the service desk and assist with operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of technology infrastructure and systems
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide end-user technical desktop support (installation, configuration, problem identification and resolution) for Microsoft OS & Software products over a range of business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software related issues on Desktops and Laptops.
- Provide end-user support, remotely and on-site stations.
- Manage and update assigned service calls via Service Desk Software solution.
- Assist with audio-visual and technical requirements for meetings and presentation.
- Troubleshooting Desktop networking and connection issues.
- Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
- Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
- Installing Printers (MFP and stand–alone devices) and provide end-user Printer support.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of Senior Network & Server Support staff.
- Adhere to company processes and procedures including relevant documentation.
- Liaise with both internal and external third party and vendor suppliers to procure and apply hardware and software solutions.
- Provide effective and accurate feedback to customers.
- Maintain a shared knowledge base & engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer.
- Provide Device Infrastructure Roll Out and Support for Business Projects on Device Hardware and Software across the full Business spectrum.
- Assist with and maintaining the Devices Complete Life Cycle for the Devices Hardware Audit and Asset Registry.
- Provide and maintain a comprehensive communication structure from Devices end, with both IT Server, Network, Support and Business System colleagues.
- Assist with Change & Release management activities (application testing, software delivery).
- Assist with the investigation of new technology, hardware, and software.
- Assist customers through installing applications and computer peripherals.
- Assist with technical documentation and manuals.

Educational Requirements
- Grade 12
- IT qaulification/background (A+ , N+, MCP)
- IT CompTIA+ (Advantageous)
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate clearly with computing users on all levels.
- Demonstrates commitment to service excellence standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners.
- Working knowledge of the current MS Windows Desktop, Server and Network operating systems.
- Develop & deliver multiple assignments on time and maintain an efficient work schedule.
