Managed Talent Solutions a Business Unit with Datacentrix is looking for a Data Analyst with financial services knowledge. Applicant must have at least 5 years of experience in IT coupled with a degree in Computer Science and SDLC methodology knowledge. This is a fixed-term contract and the role will be based in Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.).
- Ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data before analysis.
- Combining data from multiple sources to create comprehensive datasets.
- Analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing) to interpret data.

- Using mathematical and statistical models to predict outcomes or identify relationships in the data.
- Creating charts, graphs, and other visual representations of data to make insights easily understandable.
- Generating reports (often using BI tools) that summarize findings and insights.
- Communicating findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable way, often tailored to non-technical audiences.
- Proficient use of data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, R, or specialized software.
- Querying and managing data in databases, often using SQL or other database languages.
- Automating repetitive data tasks using scripting or programming languages to improve efficiency.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems and/ or;
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Financial services knowledge.
- SDLC methodology knowledge.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the financial services sector.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT.
