Artisan Assistant - TWK Agri

TWK Motors, part of the TWK Agri Group, has the following vacancy available: Artisan Assistant (RSA) at Standerton, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in the repair and servicing of vehicles according to dealer/distributor standards and within the flat rate time allowed
• Together with journeyman, establish parts required for service/repair to be performed and ensured correct parts are ordered
• Report to journeyman/technician promptly on any additional work required
• Obtain authorization prior to carrying out additional work or dismantling components
• Obtain technical information from journeyman/technician on problem jobs
• Adhere strictly to technical specifications as laid down by the manufacturer, or as instructed by the journeyman
• Adhere to laid down workshop policies and procedures
• Note the description of all work performed on the back of the Repair Order if required
• Place all used parts in plastic bags, except oil & fuel filters, and place on the passenger floor
• All warranty replaced parts are to be tagged according to laid down rules and handed to the Parts Department
• Ensure all oils and parts used are booked out on the Repair Order
• Ensure the vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and use all protective items supplied
• Ensure the work bay is kept safe, clean and tidy
• Ensure time started and completed are entered on the Repair Order
• Report any faulty and/or broken equipment to journeyman/technician
• Ensure all special tools and equipment are used with utmost care
• To possess a complete set of tools, as per RMI standards, and to maintain them in good working order
• Ensure a neat appearance at all times - overalls to be changed after heavy repairs
• Maintain cordial relationships with workshop staff

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• Computer literate
• Valid driver's licence
• Previous experience on servicing of vehicles
