Receptionist & Buyer - Weir Group

Purpose of Role: Assist with procurement of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to safety and housekeeping as per company procedures and OHS Act requirements including its associated regulations.
• Procurement: Sourcing best prices for commodities.
• Procurement: Accurately place orders with suppliers.
• Procurement: Logistical skills to make sure the supplies arrive on time.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Minimum Matric or Grade 12. A related tertiary qualification is advantageous. One to two years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft (Word, Excel (Advanced)); ERP System – SAP and Coupa experience will be advantageous. Very high level of computer literacy is crucial.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
