The successful candidate will provide and ensure a smooth coordination and administration of the education, training and development function for Scientific Services.
Primary Duties
- Timeously assist employees with Human Resources - related queries and if necessary, refer more complex queries to the appropriate specialist within Human Resources.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and administration in terms of Human Resources related processes.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource relationships and documentation.
- Perform proactive periodic audits of Human Resources to ensure that all required documents are correct and filed according to compliance standard.
- Provides support with the planning and onboarding of new employees.
- Assist with the planning and execution of special projects and or events as and when required.
- Exercise individual judgment when dealing with potential issues and if necessary, bring them to the attention of responsible Human Resources specialist.
- Responds to and processes various requests from managers, employers, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with research, gathers data and statistical reports, and maintains the information.
- Keeps up to date on current issues and matters in the organisation related to the Human Resources Division.
- Responsible for managing and arranging stationery, budget management, travel arrangements, document management, and other related office duties.
- Assist with the input into submission of Fruitless Wasteful Irregular Expenditure (FWIE) registers.
- Responsible for the timeous receipting on SAP and submission of invoices to Finance.
- Facilitate access to data while respecting the confidentiality of information.
- Adherence to Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) – limiting and controlling access to personnel information.

Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resource or Business Administration or Project Administration at equivalent NQF 6 qualifications
- 2-3 years administrative experience in the Human Resources environment
- Computer literate at an advanced level
- Relevant Human Resources certification and registrations will serve as an added advantage.
