Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Manufacturing department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Training Controller role, which is based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will report directly to the Unit Manager in Pretoria.

Key Purpose

To provide a specialised and effective training and development service to designated teams by focusing on the acquisition of competence and performance to enable the teams to achieve the effective manufacturing of products and delivery to customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Training Needs Analysis

  • Conduct team and individual training needs analysis by utilising adequate information sources (which may include CAP Assessment outcomes, KPIs, Supply Chain Maturity Assessment results and line manager input).
  • Identify possible training solutions to close out identified gaps whilst incorporating a blended learning methodology.
  • Continuously explore alternative blended learning methodologies to enhance knowledge transfer and make recommendations for the implementation thereof.
  • Interact with various stakeholders to identify training needs.
  • Interact with different levels of the organisation when facilitating training.

Develop Training Material

  • Where necessary, develop or source training material to address specific needs of shift-based teams according to CCBSA standards and following the training principles of CCBSA.
  • Take part in regional and divisional Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) on training material development.
  • Design pre- and post-assessments and evaluation forms to evaluate the impact of the capability initiatives or learning interventions.
  • Implement and anchoring change project by executing project plans, facilitating communication, training and coaching in the relevant department.
  • To provide a specialised and effective training and development service to designated teams by focusing on the acquisition of competence and performance to enable the teams to achieve the effective manufacturing of products and delivery to customers.

Implement Training

  • Ensure that where training needs to be undertaken, it is done following CCBSA policy and procedure.
  • Present training material, calling in additional or specialised resources as required to assist.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training material by conducting post-training evaluations.
  • Manage the logistical arrangements for the learning interventions to ensure that the environment is prepared to facilitate effective learning.

Training Administration

  • Maintain departmental training records by ensuring that these are readily accessible and adhere to all CCBSA and legal requirements.
  • Where training has occurred, updates relevant training records and, where appropriate, the SAP systems.
  • Interacts with individuals to resolve problems relating to training records and provides information relating to queries.
  • Communicate the learning initiative’s ROI results to all relevant stakeholders.

Manage CAP process

  • Ensures that CAP procedures, CCBSA policies and other legal requirements are adhered to throughout the CAP process.
  • Support onboarding and inductions for new employees.
  • Implement WCM principles and practices.
  • Coordinate GEM assessments, participate in coaching reviews and coordinate gap closure.
  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions.
  • Facilitate the development of SOPs and Work instructions.
  • Facilitate Process improvement/WCO.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

  • HR Degree or equivalent.
  • N6 Diploma or other relevant qualification.
  • 3-5 years production/FMCG experience.

Experience

  • WCM exposure and experience will be advantageous
  • SAP experience and being a trained, registered assessor, will be advantageous.
  • Good PC literacy required (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
