Driver EB, Karee 3 Shaft - Murray & Roberts

Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Driver EB to be placed in Karee 3 Shaft, Marikana, North West. The successful candidate will report to Foreman Engineering The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications are only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Safely transport passengers and goods to and from various locations
• Complete log books and checklists accurately
• Delivery and collection of goods and documents
• Adhere to correct load distribution
• Report vehicle abuse, defects timeously
• Vehicles are clean and maintained to a standard
• Effective self-management in alignment with M&RC’s values
• The successful candidate must be prepared to work outside the normal working hours

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade12 or equivalent
• In possession of a valid code 10 driver's license
• Valid PDP (public drivers permit)

• Dover Test 64% (preferred)

• Good communication and organizing skills
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience as an EB driver
• Relevant experience as a driver in delivery and collection
• Understanding of correct load distribution on the vehicle
• Good English is written and verbal communication skills
• Planning and organising skills
