The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible to select, sourcing and putting together commercially viable ranges across private labels and brands that will consistently appeal to and grow our customer base and the value/level of their responses profitably.

Requirements

• A Minimum of 5 years buying experience in a retail and/or eCommerce environment
• A proven solid track record in buying
• Experience in sourcing out of China (direct factory experience)
• Buying exposure in appliances specifically would be advantageous

• Ability to identify and capitalize on current trends and apply them to product development
• Proven negotiation skills and experience with supplier management both locally and internationally
• A clear understanding of the retail cycle and buying process
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of SA’s retail appliance market, regulatory requirements, customers and competitors
• Advanced level in MS Office package – with a specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint
