TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. Purpose of the position: The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible Continuation of AGYW on HIV prevention package under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. (This is a contract position renewable based on funding)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders in the community, facility managers, educators, institutions of higher learning and learner representative organisations in identified clusters

- Maps out CBOs and community sites for continuation of HIV Prevention services including PrEP
- Implements a diary system to ensure all AGYW initiated on HIV prevention services including PrEP are diarised and files are pulled out the day before ready for continuation of services at service points in the community
- Facilitates package of integrated SRH services through appropriate referrals to Nurse clinician: Integrated HIV counselling and testing, ART initiation, PrEP initiation, pregnancy testing, contraception (incl. emergency, condoms), post-exposure prophylaxis, TB screening, STI screening and management, creatinine clearance, screening for mental health, substance and alcohol abuse, GBV, risk perception & reduction counselling, and adherence/ continuation support
- Identifying victims of gender-based violence and referral for provision of minimum package of post violence care services, including HIV testing, PEP, EC, STI screening, psychosocial support, and linkage to medical forensic services
- Ensures appropriate navigation and referral of all new cases for physco social support to SAWs and Social worker interventions
- Submits monthly reports
- Collaborates with Department of Basic Education (DBE), Department of Social Development (DSD), Department of Health (DOH) managers and community role-players to scale up THC’s package of services
- Provides mentorship to HAST counsellors and Linkage officers
- Adheres to Infection Prevention Control (IPC) standards
- Implements the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) protocol and ensures all staff adhere to the protocol
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / matric
- Enrolled Nurse qualification
- 2 years related experience and/or training
- Registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse
- Recognized counselling certificate
- Certified to conduct finger prick testing
- Proficiency in English and IsiZulu languages
- Clear criminal record
