We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner – Talent Acquisition to join our dynamic HR team within the Sub-Saharan Africa HR team at DHL Express. This is a 6?month fixed-term contract, with immediate impact on our People strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast?paced, high?performance environment where your expertise will directly contribute to business growth across 42 African countries.
What You Will Do
As the HR Business Partner – TA, you will play a pivotal role in managing the full recruitment lifecycle for skilled and management roles across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Your key responsibilities will include:
End-to-End Recruitment Management
- Lead sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection processes within agreed timeframes.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and define ideal candidate profiles.
- Manage job ads across multiple platforms (Careers Centre, LinkedIn, external job boards).
- Ensure seamless offer management, vetting, and onboarding.

Strengthen Hiring Manager Capability
- Coach hiring managers on interview skills and selection best practices.
- Ensure alignment between job competency frameworks, assessments, and recruitment processes.
Talent Pipeline & Workforce Planning
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and future roles.
- Support succession planning and demand forecasting through insights and data.
- Conduct market research and implement innovative sourcing strategies.
Onboarding & Induction
- Manage onboarding processes for management and Head Office employees.
- Lead new starter engagement and ensure efficient contracting and documentation.
Employer Branding & EVP Activation
- Activate our EVP through recruitment marketing and external branding initiatives.
Reporting & HR Insights
- Generate weekly, monthly, and annual recruitment reports.
- Provide analytics that support decision-making and capacity planning.
What You Bring
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in recruitment management within a large, preferably services/logistics organisation.
- Proven experience working within a matrix organisation with dispersed geographies.
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding TA targets.
Skills & Capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in ATS platforms (Avature advantageous), LinkedIn Recruiter, social sourcing, and digital talent tools.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under pressure.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- High levels of integrity, adaptability, and resilience.
