POST: Secretary
LOCATION: Administration Management, Head Office, Pretoria
LEVEL OF REMUNERATION: Salary level 5, R181 599 per annum
REFERENCES: NC09/01/2023 (1 post)
Duties:
- To provide secretarial support functions to the Section Head.
- Arrange, and prepare meetings, and agendas, typing and taking Minutes.
- Answer and screen all incoming calls to the office of the Section Head.
- Liaise with other Sections and components on matters relating to the Section Head’s office.
- Maintain good record keeping, filling and bringing forward system.
- Handle confidential documents.
- Process and submit claims, and make travelling and accommodation arrangements.
- Manage the diary as well as receive and host visitors to the office.
- Operate standard equipment (fax, photocopy machine, telephone, Computer).
- Serving refreshments to visitors and during Meetings.
- Manage office inventory.

Requirements:
- Applicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions of the post;
- Be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English;
- Be aSouthAfrican Citizen; Must have no previous criminal/departmental convictions or criminal/departmental cases pending;
- Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening and fingerprint verification;
- Be inpossession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record Database on NQF level 4;
- Must have no criminal record or pending criminal/departmental cases;
- Degree/ Diploma in the field of the post will be an added advantage;
- Relevant courses in the field of the post as well as a valid driver’s license for at least a light motor vehicle will serve as an advantage;
- Be willing to work under pressure and extended hours.
