Role responsibilities
- A solid background in the public and private sector specializing in land infrastructure from township to site specific scale.
- Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software. Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of CAD Software.
- Develop specifications, BoQ’s, cost estimates, and prepare final tender documentation.
- Prepare reports required by the project, implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all work complies with Zutari ‘s quality control procedures and is implemented to SANS 1200 or relevant requirements.
- Must be able to work in a team to support a leader but also take the lead on project designs.
- Ensure that required drawing standards are maintained, construction supervision, and deliver excellent client service while being client facing.
- Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
- Strong work winning, client facing capability and experience.
- Confident, well-spoken, self-starter, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.
- Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organisational levels).
- Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and Time Management skills.
Minimum requirements
- BSc/BEng or B. Tech degree (Civil Engineering).
- Engineer registered with ECSA as a Candidate (advantageous).
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience as a design specialist in land infrastructure, specific to municipal services.
- Must be CAD & Civil 3D proficient.
- Experience in PCSWMM (advantageous).
