We are seeking a Professional Electrical Engineer or Technologist with a strong background in Datacentre electrical design and consulting. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, work with leading clients in the sector, and grow within a dynamic and inclusive team.
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to and lead electrical design and delivery for Datacentre projects.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, energy-efficient solutions.
- Engage with clients to understand needs and deliver value-driven outcomes.
- Take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning.
- Support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Minimum requirements
- ECSA registered as a Professional Electrical Engineer or Technologist.
- Minimum 5 years in electrical consulting, specifically within the Datacentre sector.
Technical Expertise:
- MV and LV switchgear design and commissioning.
- Network studies, protection coordination, cable design, transformer sizing.
- Practical site experience with electrical installation contractors.
- Project Exposure: Experience on large, multi-disciplinary Datacentre projects.
- Consulting Insight: Exposure to consulting environments, either directly or via client/contractor roles.
Skills and characteristics
- Strong interest in industrial environments and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
- Passion for energy efficiency and sustainable engineering practices.
- Ability to work as a specialist, generalist, or a hybrid contributor.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to lifelong learning.
