The role will be based in Westville and report to the Master Data Consultant.The successful candidate will be entrusted by RCL FOODS to support master data operations and ensure the accuracy of data processing and financial records.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cleanse and validate requests for new master data records by ensuring accuracy and completeness through direct communication with business stakeholders.
- Update master data attributes accurately and promptly, following authorization from designated approvers. Participate in projects involving new system implementations or enhancements.
- Provide support to the Master Data team by managing new and amended data attributes and ensuring effective communication with users.
- Propose and implement continuous improvements in master data maintenance and housekeeping practices.
- Maintain master data across external repositories beyond the ERP system to ensure all business stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist in resolving queries and issues related to master data onboarding and amendments.
- File and retrieve documents related to project work and master data activities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders who rely on master data within broader information management systems.
- Perform independent verification and validation checks on master data entries to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure all new master data and amendment requests are properly authorized, securely filed, and compliant with audit requirements.
- Carry out technical administrative tasks such as running reports, formatting data, and validating datasets for accuracy and duplication.

Minimum Requirements
- B.com ( Financial Accounting ) or other relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a SAP master data environment or similar integrated system environment
- Experience of business processes and disciplines with a combination of at least 2 to 3 years in division and/or functions such as financial or management accounting, inventory and materials management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, data analysis and reporting.
