Paarden Eiland is currently seeking to appoint a Production Planner with production planning experience in a printing environment. The successful incumbent will report to the Operations Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for efficient workflow planning and throughput to enable meeting deadlines and set targets.
- Ensure quality monitoring, control systems, measurements and procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Ensure effective and efficient utilization of machinery to ensure high productivity, minimum downtime and proper management thereof.
- Capture the production plan on MIS production system.
- Prepare management reports.
- Communicate production plans with staff in daily production meetings.
- Update production plan after hours if clients' make changes.

Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate or equavalent.
- Production Management qualification would be advantageous
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of production planning experience in a printing environment
- Knowledge of all aspects of print production flow and different printing papers would be advantageous
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of press production layouts.
- Computer-literate and have strong administrative skills.
- Ability to plan and organize under stressful working conditions.
- Exceptional aptitude for problem-solving.
- Must be able to think technically or be technically inclined.
- Able to function independently as well as part of a team.
- Sound communication skills
