A vacancy exists for a Restaurant Training and Capability Manager. Leading a team of Operations Trainers that will drive operational capability by enabling continuous learning, conducting capability assessments and providing training interventions and workshops for restaurant teams across a geographic area.

To lead Operations Trainers and drive operational capability by enabling continuous learning, capability building and providing training interventions and workshops for restaurant management.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Drive In-store Capability Assessments, this includes Identifying and assessing future and current training needs.
  • Providing on-the-job coaching, training interventions and workshops such as drawing an overall or individualized training and development plan for talent (Bench) sustainability.
  • Focused Operation Trainer Audits In-Store
  • Management and development of Operations Trainers
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths.
  • Ensure effective induction and orientation sessions of Restaurant Staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
  • Manage training budget.
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices

COMPETENCIES

  • Clear presentation/training style in classroom situation, with excellent facilitation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong drive for results and ability to self-manage
  • Ability to lead others to achieve a unified delivery approach
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to build & maintain strong working relationships with all the above partners, particularly Operations
  • Computer literacy – proficient in MS Office particularly, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Leverage skills & knowledge to build people capability to feed the talent pipeline for growth
  • Confidentiality, trustworthy & extremely reliable

REQUIREMENTS

  • Min 5 years experience in a training and /facilitating role
  • A valid driver's license
  • Good understanding of the current operational training landscape
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • A National diploma in a related field
  • The ability to assess gaps and solve problems effectively
  • Determination and patience
  • Good organization skills
  • A sensitive and supportive approach
