Specific tasks and functions.
- Clean equipment and inspect
- Manufacture and plant steel fabrication
- Pipe installations and welding as per Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)
- Filter side wall manufacture and install
- Screw conveyor installation
- General workshop fabrication
Physical activity
- Able to perform required functions: walking, carrying, climbing, working on heights, confined spaces, good vision
- Exposure to internal and external environmental conditions, noise, hazards

Qualification
- 2 to 3 years Apprenticeship programme
- Trade test qualification as Welder / Boiler maker: N3
Experience
- Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in petro, chemical, paper & pulp, smelter or mining industry
General requirements.
- Basic computer literate including maintenance management systems.
- Good English communication (read, speak, write)
- Stand-by and overtime requirement including weekends (planned and on short notice)
- Able to read drawings
- Team player
