Managed Talent Solutions a Business Unit within Datacentrix is looking for a Business Intelligence Business Analyst (BI-BA) with experience in Data projects for one of their client based in Johannesburg. Applicants must have a degree in Computer Science coupled with Diploma in Business Analysis from IIBA education provider and a valid CBAP or CCBA certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, cleanse, and structure data from various internal and external sources. Document existing and new process flows and data flow diagrams
  • Document and validate business requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, and understood by both the business and technical teams.
  • Identification of what data is needed, where it resides, and how it will be used to achieve business objectives.

  • Work with data engineers or data architects to understand the data sources, structures, and flow of information across systems.
  • Analyze and map current business processes to identify opportunities for optimization using data insights.
  • Ensure that the data solutions being developed will integrate seamlessly into existing operations and workflows.
  • Work closely with IT teams, data engineers, and other departments to ensure that business requirements are met and data pipelines are efficient.
  • Analysis of new solutions to ensure that they fulfil original requirements and close identified gaps.
  • Execute feasibility and viability assessments at a project / product level.
  • Identify business questions, challenges and opportunities, translating them into data analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Identify inefficiencies in business processes and use data to recommend solutions or process improvements.
  • Suggest automation opportunities for repetitive reporting tasks, increasing efficiency and reducing human error.
  • Monitor BI system performance and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and evolving business needs.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:

  • Matric plus Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems and/ or;
  • Diploma in Business Analysis from an IIBA-endorsed education provider and/or;
  • Valid CBAP or CCBA certification.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
  • Financial services knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of the BABOK.
  • SDLC methodology knowledge.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the financial services sector.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT.
  • Requirements elicitation 7 collaboration.
