Founded in 1993, Nice is an Italian multinational reference company in the Home Automation, Home Security and Smart Home sector, with a wide range of integrated and connected solutions for the automation of gates, garage doors, solar shades, parking, wireless alarm and home security systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
We curently have a position for a Driver available at our East Rand Branch, Edenvale
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be an ambassador for E.T. Nice (Pty) Ltd and convey this in his daily conduct.

- Be accountable for tasks assigned to him.
- Pick and pack stock for deliveries and ensure that the stock is double checked by a second person and signed off according to procedures and practices.
- Load stock into delivery vehicles and ensure that procedures are adhered to 100%.
- Double check invoice and stock against picking slip before leaving the premises.
- Ensure that all the relevant paperwork for the delivery orders are with you.
- When going out on deliveries, ensure that the vehicle is not overloaded and complies with the vehicle weight requirements.
- Ensure security of stock.
- Liaise with customers in professional manner and offer exceptional customer services.
- Ensure that customers print their name & sign the relevant documents when delivering their stock.
- Ensure that payments are correct and documented on the relevant paperwork (i.e. invoice or delivery note) and hand these documents over to the sales assistant immediately upon your return to the office.
- When receiving stock back from clients on delivery (i.e. repairs, faulty stock returned for credit) ensure that the stock is accompanied by supporting documents and that these are handed over to the relevant departments on return to the office.
- Do the necessary driving logistics for the company if and when required.
- Ensure that the stock levels are maintained.
- Offer exceptional service to the customers.
- Ensure that the correct stock and quantities are dispatched and that the relevant paperwork is signed.
- Follow the procedures 100% when off-loading and checking the container stock.
- Ensure that the stores area is kept clean, tidy and safe.
- Assist in monthly stock takes and adhere 100% to company procedures.
- Assist in regular cycle counts and adhere 100% to company procedures.
- Rotate stock according to FIFO (First-In-First Out) principle.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep your vehicle clean daily.
- Report defects immediately to your supervisor or to the Regional Manager.
- Inform your supervisor and Regional Manager when services are due.
- Perform various ad-hoc duties within the ambit of your job.
- Perform any other reasonable and lawful tasks and duties not specifically mentioned above.
- Comply 100% with company policies, procedures, standards, practices and rules set.
- Comply 100% with Health and Safety Regulations.

- Ensure to comply 100% too all road safety rules and legislative requirements.
- To perform any other task or duties within the ambit of your job for example when an employee is ill or when required operationally for example assisting with stock take, assisting in stores or any other task within the branch.
- Comply with the Memorandum of Issuing of goods dated 25 September 2018.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications:
- NQF 12 (Matric)

Experience:
- Must have a valid drivers licence and no previous convictions for driving.
- Must have at least 5 years driving experience as a courier or delivering of goods to customers.
- Driving experience in the gate and manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
Competencies:
- Must be able to read and write.
Other requirements:
- The ability to work to deadlines and to deliver on time to customers.
- Computer Literate
- No criminal record or record pending.
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Learning potential
- Multi-task orientated
- Ability to work under stress
- Ability to work independently
- Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and Public Holidays, if and when required or overtime by agreement.
- This position also requires work and travel time outside the official working hours, including training, marketing, sales activities, stock takes at least two Saturdays per month.
- To perform ad-hoc duties within the ambit of the job.
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment polygraph examination.
