The purpose of this position is to EDUCATE, ASSESS, TRAIN AND DEVELOP POTENTION INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT OPERATORS as per the South African Quality Authority Legislative Standard 8038 and 8039.

Profile

Key Performance Areas:

To perform this job successfully, the appointed individual must be able to perform each essential duty / key performance area satisfactorily. This list of key performance areas is not exhaustive and may be changed/supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time:

1. Driver Assessments

  • Evaluate new and current drivers
  • Compile assessment reports


2. Educate potential and existing drivers to a competent level

  • To impart skills and knowledge to the learner drivers.

3. Presenting training material in a professional manner

  • Training must be presented at an understandable and comprehensive level to the learner.
  • Learning style and methods must be adaptable and innovative to accommodate learners of all levels.
  • Create a positive learning environment for learners.

4. Driver Reports

  • Compile reports for management and learners

5. General

  • Ensure that all documentation is filed and stored systematically.
  • Be up to date with legislation and developments in field of work.
  • Maintain trainee confidentiality at all times.
  • Compile reports for submission to management.
  • Operate within the framework of company policies and government legislation.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner
  • Be prepared to market the institution
  • Good labour relations skills
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Marketing of product and services.
  • Present certificates and driver ID cards.
  • Generate quotes and reports.


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills Education / Training and Experience Requirement(s):

  • Matric, Grade 12.
  • Forklift experience
  • Registered against unit STD 8038 – Company will assist with Portfolio of Evidence.
  • Continue CPD – Continual Professional Develop. Must be prepared to continue developing as a trainer and to learn new products on the market.
  • Train to become Facilitator/trainer and Assessor.
  • Excellent work ethic – honest, reliable, hardworking, dedicated and takes pride in work carried out
  • Highly developed prioritizing and multi-tasking skills; strong sense of urgency; problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels in an organization – oral and written
  • Dedication to service excellence in every aspect of work carried out, strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and still complete tasks timeously; enthusiastic, self- motivated and can use own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to understand and follow safety measures and precautions
  • Knowledge regarding health and safety; housekeeping.
  • Good knowledge of forklifts (internal combustion and electrical – theory and practical)
  • Ability to identify and correctly utilize relevant diagnostic equipment and specialized tools
  • Willingness and capability to continue learning and growing·
  • Generate quotes, reports.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition
