Job Description
- Set up and manufacture items based on information detailed in engineering drawings in accordance with set times.
- Machine of parts and assembling of machines.
- Measure and inspect own work to ensure that it meets the specifications detailed on the drawings.
- Accountable for housekeeping in the area around the machine.
- Accountable for own safety, safety of the machine and the work environment.
- Do basic maintenance on the machine.
- Accountable for handing over the machine in 100% safe condition.
- In the event of work exceeding planned times, discuss and resolve with the Team Leader.
- Perform safety inspections on machine(s).
- Suggest and make improvements on quality, efficiency and safety aspects of the job.
- Assist in the training of new incumbents/multi-skilling in the workshop.
- Accountable for contributing to building a high-performance, high-morale engineering team.
- Assist management with daily workshop-related tasks.

Qualifications & Experience
- N3 Qualification
- Must be a qualified artisan with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Machine Shop experience Post Trade Tested.
- Capable of performing fault-finding diagnostics on all equipment across all engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of the OHS Act and Explosives Act
- In-depth knowledge of engineering-related principles and standards.
- Knowledge of maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
