Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure that the safety and security of all persons and equipment is upheld by safeguarding all persons and assets of ZEITZ MOCAA through Risk and Safety Compliance Management
- Develop and implement safety and security policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHACT regulation
- Conduct regular safety and security inspections of facilities and work sites to identify potential hazards and risks
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of first responders’ concept and the incident escalation process
- Coordinate training programs for employees on safety procedures, emergency response plans, and security protocols
- Ensure involvement in all exhibition planning, ensuring compliance with the OSHACT and security.
- Ensure adequate security measures are in place for exhibitions, with assistance from the Facilities Manager.
- Respond to and investigate safety incidents, accidents, and security breaches, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety and security activities, inspections, and incidents on CHASE system
- Oversee the building’s access control system and undertake monthly audits.
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations and industry standards
- Monitor and evaluate safety and security performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in safety and security practices, regulations, and technology
- Oversee outsourced security providers' service level agreements and their teams at Zeitz MOCAA

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, security management, or related field
- PSIRA Grade B Registered (minimum) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Minimum of 3 years administrative experience in a Health and Safety environment.
- Minimum of 5 years security supervision experience or currently in a supervisory position with a minimum of 10 persons per shift
- Experience in Surveillance systems and experience on the Milestone VMS would be advantageous
- Knowledge of OSHACT regulations and industry best practices in safety and security
- Knowledge and experience of acting as a 16(2) Appointment – OSHACT NO. 85 OF 1993
- Medically fit related to the role (no difficulty with walking, hearing, eyesight, climbing steps or entering confined spaces with no fear of heights)
- Code EB drivers license
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate employees
- Detail-oriented and proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety and security issues
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Flexible working schedule.
- Ability to work independently and deliver work within the agreed timeframes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
