Security Officer - Buffalo International Logistics

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate should possess excellent observational and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be capable of handling various security tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of the premises.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks.
• Report any suspicious activities, incidents, or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
• Control and monitor access to the facility, checking credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Issue visitor badges and maintain accurate records of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
• Implement emergency procedures as necessary, such as evacuations and lockdowns.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12, additional education or certifications in security-related fields is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
