NUTRI Feeds is one of the leaders in the manufacturing of animal feed in South Africa, we are also a world player and the first choice in animal feed supply for poultry, swine, sheep, dairy, and beef cattle. The following vacancy exists within the Technical Division at NUTRI FEEDS.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Management of the complete quality control system at the Feedmill. Motivate, train, and manage the personnel in the quality team.
- Ensure complete traceability with the implementation of quality control measures for raw materials and finished feed. In-process quality control on raw materials and finished feed to ensure compliance
- Assist the production, formulation, and procurement teams to ensure that cost-effective feed of perfect quality is delivered on-farm consistently. Record control for the quality control process for internal traceability and external requirements
- Leader of the Quality / Feed Safety team to ensure ISO and GMP compliance.
- Financial management with the evaluation of current /new raw materials and/or final feed
- Technical support to the sales team and customers to better customer service, investigate concerns and increase on-farm production and profitability.

Minimum Requirements
Requirements:
- MSc in Animal Science. A minimum of 3 years experience within a feed mill environment
- Experience in commercial animal production and management. Necessary nutritional experience in monogastric feed
- Sound knowledge of laboratory methods for the analyses of animal feed. Meticulous and analytical competency
- Must be computer literate. Good people skills. Must be fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
