The incumbent in this role will be responsible for ensuring that all instrumentation equipment is continuously maintained and in a proper working order.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Fault Finding and Programming on all Modular Dispatch Hardware.
  • Managing and maintaining the CATS Server and Database, PDS and Access Control.
  • Programming of two-way Radios and Database Admin.
  • Maintaining and adhering to HSEC requirements.
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting techniques and fault-finding.

Minimum Qualifications

  • N6 Certificate (instrumentation major subjects) with an Instrumentation Trade Certificate OR National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (instrumentation major subjects).
  • Tech Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation major subject) will be advantageous.
  • Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 Years’ experience as an Instrument Technician.
  • CompTIA Network knowledge.
  • Industrial and wireless network experience
  • Motorola Radio Network.
  • Fleet Management Systems – Modular & PDS.
