DC Supervisor - Mr Price Logistics

Mr Price Group Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a DC Supervisor to supervise relevant departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and DC (Distribution Centre) associates in a distribution/ warehouse operations department.  The role will be based in the Hammarsdale Distribution Centre.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To supervise departmental DC associates ensuring timekeeping and attendance is met.
• To supervise production efficiencies to ensure targets are met timeously.
• Supervise staging reports to ensure location accuracy.
• Daily stock management and promoting good work habits.
• Drive SOP compliance within departmental and ensure SOPS are up to date. 
• Ensure labour is in line with forecast and budget. Enhance processes to increase efficiencies. 
• To ensure the correct Protective Protection is used and Machine Handling Equipment (MHE) operators have valid licenses. 
• To drive the culture of lean within the DC and ensure a high level of 6S is maintained within the department. 
• Motivate the team and ensure the department has a fair representation of H&S representation (Health and Safety rep, first aider and fire marshal).

QUALIFICATIONS

•  Grade 12 or NQF4 Equivalent 
• 2-3 years DC Operations experience.
• Applicable warehouse management systems knowledge.
• Business understanding of DC Operations and retail in general.
• Understanding of Lean principles.
