The main purpose of the job is to ensure exceptional delivery of Rectron goods and equipment to customers, in accordance with specific schedule provided, to the allocated area in an efficient and timeous manner.
Primary Objectives:
- Ensure timeous and accurate delivery of all orders placed for delivery.
- Mark orders as ‘delivered’ on system once completed.
- Escalate problematic issues promptly to the supervisor in order to generate solutions.
- Excellent customer service by being courteous at all times.
- Obtain accurate POD’s and ID information from deliveries and hand over to the Stores Department timeously.
- Communicate general maintenance and licencing issues to your Line Manager
- Report any infringement, accident, notice of service, loss of stock, damage of stock, hijacking or any other important issue to your supervisor immediately.
- Communicate orders not delivered in time to your Line Manager.
- Adhere to driving rules and regulations of the road all times.
- Execute Rectron standards of excellence in your daily duties.
- Ensure cell phones are utilised for business purposes only.
- Ensure vehicle checks are done every Friday and signed off by your Line Manager.
- Ensure that the caddy is locked, and windows closed during deliveries to prevent hijacking of goods.
- Assist with other job-related duties as and when required by your Line Manager.

Warehouse duties (Supporting role when not doing deliveries):
- Receive stock & offload containers.
- Accurate counting and adding of received stock onto system.
- Accurate picking, invoicing, packing, and labelling of stock and orders.
- Assist customers/couriers when collecting orders and confirm payments made.
- Mark orders as ‘collected’ when out on deliveries or collected.
- Ensure accurate stocktake procedure.
- Report any infringement, accident, loss/damage of stock, hijacking or any other problematic issues to your supervisor immediately.
- Inform sales department of orders not collected and action cancellations/credits on a weekly basis or as instructed.
- Execute Rectron standards of excellence in your daily duties
- Ensure good housekeeping.
- Other duties as required by your line Manager.
Education/Qualification, Skills and Experience
Education/Qualification
- Minimum: Matric.
- Information technology background preferable
- Must have up to date and Valid drivers’ license with no infringements.
- Must have valid PDP at all times.
Experience (experience required for the job)
- At least 1 years’ experience in a Stores environment (Picking, packing etc.) – Preferably IT.
- At least 2 - 5 years’ experience as a driver (delivery of goods)

Accountabilities
- Manage the effectiveness and development of the health and safety regulations.
- Maintain and ensure efficiencies are met in terms of SLA’s to customers and vendors
- Ensure that minimum level requirements regarding skill levels are met in order to meet basic certifications.
- Ensure general compliance by all staff to standards of business conduct.
- Align all technical resources effecting customers to ensure consistent engagement and achievement of the agreed goals set in operations relating to customer satisfaction.
- Develop new business and expand existing business streams.
- Provide various management information reports, competitive analysis, and market intelligence on operational activities to head office.
- Accountable for the planning and direction of all warehouse operations, including developing and monitoring of KPI’s, security and all administrative activities.
- Ensure regular communication through staff meetings.
