Purpose

To deliver sales activities in order to process parts transactions accurately and timeously as per agreed standard operating procedures in order to maximise profit, to issue and ensure availability of part to the service department.

To deliver sales activities in order to process parts transactions accurately and timeously as per agreed standard operating procedures in order to maximise profit, to issue and ensure availability of part to the service department.

Specific Role Responsibilities

GENERIC JOB OUTPUTS

PROCESS AND GOVERNANCE

  • Deliver on agreed performance targets according to set procedures and service level agreement.
  • Execute work in line with governance and compliance processes.
  • Identify and apply known solutions to operational challenges and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Record and report on transactional activities to provide timely and accurate information for decision making in area of accountability.
  • Adhere to current legal compliance, e.g. FICA regulation, POPI Act and Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and others.
  • Drive own performance and provide specialist sales support and advice in accordance with required response time, quality, service delivery standards and targets.
  • Ensure business retention through the application of various sales techniques such as product comparisons and changing perceptions.

  • AfterSales Operational Support: To facilitate aftersales customer service support for the enteprise and dealernetworks
    by creating an efficient aftersales capability. The principles of aftersales service stays the same regardless type of vehicle, fleets or walkin customers.
  • Communication : Must be able to exchange information and ideas in a clear and concise manner appropriate for the
    audience, in order to explain, persuade, convince and influence other to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Conflict Management: Being able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently. Resolving conflict, before it becomes a major obstacle to the work environment and critical in relation to customers.
  • Customer Fleet AfterSales Service: This competency gives effect to the customer’s fleet Management needs. It create capability to facilitate customer needs whereby customer fleet procurement, maintenance and service plans takes place
    according to the customer fleet management plan.
  • Customer Service : Focuses ones efforts on discovering and meeting the customers or clients needs
  • Developing Sales: Identify, and/ or develop and sell a product or service. Aligns the knowledge and skills required to
    effectively identify and sell a product or service to a new client.
  • Knowledge of Parts: Competence and knowledge of parts retailed though the automotive industry that can provide business intelligence to inform managemission, manage demand, manage supply and manage resources where
    relevant to sustain success and growth.
  • Manage personal work priorities and professional development: The competency reflects on and demonstrates employee accountability towards their own professional development and sets the environment for corporate social responsibility and the competence essential to advance corporate citizenship.
  • Persuasive Selling Skills: Understands, coaches and can demonstrate the company Sales Sequence and Selling Process
  • Problem Solving and Analysis: Capable of systematically identifying, analysing and resolving existing data and problems in order to reach optimum solutions in a timely manner.
  • Sales of nonOEM parts and accessories: Accurately ascertainment of the applicability of nonOEM parts and accessories accurately, so as to enhance the flexibility of sales and purchasing operations to sustain success and growth.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Experience

  • 0-1 year experience in a similar environment

Minimum Qualification

  • Higher Certificates and/or Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates with NQF Level 04

Skills and Personal Attributes

Minimum Requirements

  • Computer Literacy Proficient
  • Diverse knowledge of automotive technical parts.
  • Industry legislative compliance/ knowledge.
  • Good Communication Skills
