Mr Price Home, a trading division of the Mr Price Group has an exciting opportunity for a Trend Forecaster to join our dynamic Trend Department.

Your role in this exciting career opportunity will involve identifying key macro and micro trends and the ability to interpret them in a commercial way that resonates with our target market, while also providing insights into the ever-evolving world of interiors, lifestyle, and design.

As a Trend Forecaster, you will play a crucial role in shaping our collections and staying ahead in the industry.

key responsibilities

  • Trend presentations (research & compilation of documentation)
  • Produce monthly trend reports
  • Provide retail team with additional research requirements they may need during a season
  • Ensure on trend assortments in collaboration with the buyers.

The incumbent will gather the relevant trend information from various sources which include: themes, colour, category and sub-category information, key seasonal looks, fabric and print direction. You will compile this information and formally present it to the management team and retail buying team to assist with retail decision making.

Your passion for researching global trends and your keen interest in cultural and artistic pursuits will position you well for this role.

requirements

  • A Degree / Diploma in any design field.
  • 3 - 5 years’ industry experience.
  • Interior Design and homeware retail being an added advantage.
  • Be a strong hardworking team player.
  • Portfolio of your work
