We are looking for a Driver to drive, monitor, operate and record specific elements within the plant according to given operating procedures and standards in order to maintain and ensure smooth running of the operations prescribed by RBM and the National Authorities.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Ensure first level maintenance by performing routine inspections, completing checklist and reporting defects.
  • Perform driving duties.
  • Ensure safe operations and practices and healthy work environment by evaluating task and ground conditions prior to completing tasks.
  • Assist, where required, in coaching new drivers.
  • First respondent fault finding on equipment breakdown before escalation.
  • Perform basic machine and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal functioning as per the requirements of the specific functional area.

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Matric with Core Mathematics & Physical Science (attaching a copy of a Valid certificate is compulsory)
  • Or a complete N3 with Mathematics & Engineering Science (attaching a copy of a Valid certificate is compulsory)
  • South African Driver’s Licence code 10/ C1 (attaching a copy of a Valid licence is compulsory)
  • 1 year experience in Heavy Industry
  • Operating HMEs (SEL, ADT and a Bobcat) would be beneficial
