Buying Manager - Mr Price Home

SA’s most loved homeware retailer has a great opportunity for a Buying Manager to join the division. 

As Buying Manager you will lead the buying teams to be able to effectively manage their categories (product, pricing, supplier management), according to the company’s strategic objectives and seasonal financial strategies in order to drive sales and profitability by providing a delightful in-store experience for the customer through ensuring the right product, at the right price, is in the right place at the right time.          

Requirements

 The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Relevant degree or diploma (Interior/ Fashion Design, Retail Business Management, Textile, Consumer Science)
• 5 – 7 years of buying/supplier experience
• 3 – 5 years of management experience  Previous people management or leadership experience is non-negotiable.
• MS Office, specifically MS Excel (advanced level)
• A successful and proven merchandise-buying track record
• Ability to think creatively problem solve, identify and seize opportunities
• Work autonomously and proactively
• Lead and implement change to facilitate growth and business improvement
