Job Advert Summary

Ensure that orders are planned, and the correct feed is delivered at the right time and ensure administration related to sales is up to date. This role requires basic decision-making and minimal discretion. The incumbent must be able to carry out agreed SIA initiatives by achieving team targets in function.

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Services Management

• Maintains relationships with customers by providing customers with information regarding orders and deliveries.
• Provides product prices and list of suppliers to customers.
• Refer a customer to Technical Advisor for technical queries.
• Obtain prescriptions from Vets for feed that requires medication.
• Facilitate the maintenance, renewal and updates of prescriptions required for customers in-feed medication.

Delivery Scheduling

• Managing delivery times to best suit the customer.
• Liaise and notify Unitrans of new customers' site inspection purposes.
• Update the delivery board, to ensure optimal utilization and planning of delivery vehicles.
• Liaises with transport service provider timeously regarding changes to delivery schedules.
• Communicates with transport service provider on a constant basis on turnaround times and delivery delays and notify the customers accordingly.

Production Planning

• Checks that meal, pellet and crumble ton orders are not higher than the factory capacity and rearrange orders for the day if orders exceed factory capacity.
• Plans production programme according to customers' delivery schedule request to ensure optimal planning.
• Receives Rainbow cycle and plans feed required to be produced and delivered in order of youngest to the oldest bird as per the prescribed procedure.
• Updating the Promtek system immoderately as well as informing various parties by email of changes to the production plan.
• Provides production team with a copy of the production schedule/orders list daily so that machinery capacity can be planned.

Administration

• Capture farm bin stocks onto Mtech, ensuring that correct feed codes are assigned for feed requirement projections for planning purposes.
• Utilize feed projections to organize deliveries and load amounts to be delivered.
• Compare manual lists of feed projections with Mtech to ensure that the Mtech system is running correctly and that the correct amounts are being planned for production.
• Collect GRVs for when feed is returned and attached all supporting documents to recount the exact occurrence and return stock on SAP.
• Export Feed Loading out a programme to the weighbridge daily to ensure the weighbridge is operating on the same data as logistics and an accurate plan is being followed.
• Provide technical support to weighbridge staff with regards to operating the Feed Loadout Schedule.
• Assign feeds codes to every Rainbow chicken house to ensure that the correct feed is produced and delivered. Capturing of loads onto MTECH as well as capturing selling prices Oracle.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 preferably experience in Logistics or Planning Management.
• 2 years experience within a similar manufacturing or planning environment.
