Job Purpose
To plan; coordinate and execute the administrative activities to test Disaster Recovery (DR) Plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Schedule DR Test planning and post mortem meetings with the relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare agenda for DR test planning and post mortem meetings using the standards templates.
- Draft Scope of Work (SOW) and Sequence of Events (SOE) using the standard templates.
- Document minutes of DR test planning and post mortem meetings using the standard templates.
- Track delivery of test planning tasks & activities with stakeholders telephonically and by e-mail.
- Minimise non-value adding activities in work by putting proper processes in place.
- Compile list of resources with contact details for DR tests using the standard templates.
- Log Change for DR test on Service Manager in accordance with the change management policy and process.
- Draft Group Communication for DR test using the standard template.
- Make and confirm all logistical arrangements required to conduct DR tests as defined in the DR test checklist.
- Print and collate DR Plans from the Living Disaster Recovery Planning System (LDRPS) for use by recovery teams.
- Co-ordinate actual DR test activities in accordance with the pre-defined Sequence of Events.
- Draft DR Test Management Summary report using the standard templates.
- Log incidents for issues experienced during DR tests using Service Manager.
- Ensure DR site is aligned to production by reviewing infrastructure and application DR changes.
- Co-ordinate update of plans to facilitate conducting DR Tests in consultation with the relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate development and maintenance of DR Plans using the Living Disaster Recovery Planning System (LDRPS) in consultation with the relevant plan stakeholders.
- Track delivery of pre-test planning tasks & activities with stakeholders telephonically and by e-mail.
- Track resolution of DR test issues with the relevant issue owners telephonically and by email.
- Track approval of DR Test change with stakeholders telephonically and by e-mail. Conduct monthly review on the status of DR Plans in LDRPS and escalate none compliance to DR Policy update frequency with relevant plan owners by e-mail.
- Produce monthly statistics on the status of plans in LDRPS using Excel.
- Update the test dates and results of applications DR tested in the Planning IT application catalogue.
- Produce monthly DR compliance statistical reports using DR data in the Planning IT application catalogue.
- Produce monthly report on the number of consultancy and design reviews conducted using Excel.
- Create PDF of all DR Plans on in LDRPS and update DR site battle box monthly.
- Produce monthly stats on the status of DR test issues from Service Manager.
- Facilitate continuous improvement by documenting learning and implement changes to test processes, procedures and methodology. Understand and embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values by demonstrating the values through interaction with team and stakeholders to achieve goals and objectives.
- Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Preferred Qualification
- IT Diploma
Preferred Certifications
- Project management (advantageous)
Minimum Experience Level
- 3-5 years IT experience with DRP exposure
