Customer Service Representative - Eaton

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Assist customers telephonically on a daily basis, support the sales reps, and complete quotations and order processing. Complete necessary duties to provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Continuous training to keep up to date with products in all business units that is Power Quality, Power Distribution, Industrial Controls and Protection, Safety and Standard Medium Voltage

• Understand the route to market for each business unit and apply this when quoting and offering advice to customers

• Understand the process for order processing for each business unit and apply it

• Load orders within the requested time frame meticulously

• Liaise with the required departments to ensure orders are processed, procured and invoiced based on customer requirements

• Proactive engagement with procurement to provide information on customers’ orders

• Weekly updates to customers on their outstanding orders

• Liaising with sales reps to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved

• Ensure dates on orders are updated and accurate at all times

• Ability to work in a diverse environment and complete tasks timeously

• Ability to provide technical assistance to customers and the Customer Service team

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• Grade 12 as a Minimum requirement

• Technical knowledge on electrical components

• Knowledge on Incoterms and export processes is an advantage

• Basic to intermediate knowledge in Excel

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• At least 5 years of Customer Service experience
• Excellent telephone and email etiquette
• Computer Literate
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in a team and individually with minimal supervision
• Excellent command of the English language
