The Mr Price Group has an exciting career opportunity available within our Group Finance department for a Financial Manager. It takes a highly organised, self-motivated and energetic individual with true commitment to thrive in this results-driven environment.
You will be responsible for Group Finance statutory reporting and provide support to the broader finance community within the Mr Price Group. The role requires working with key stakeholders across the group and a keen interest in IFRS, with the ability to monitor and highlight any possible impact on the group.
A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical skills are of utmost importance for the role.
key responsibilities
- Responsible for review, preparation and analysis of interim and year-end statutory reporting and commentary, including group consolidation, group and subsidiary annual financial statements, audit process and annual integrated report
- Responsible for reporting system templates and report changes
- Responsible for surveying the IFRS landscape and ensuring that any new amendments or new statements that either indirectly or directly affect the group are reviewed and action plans developed
- Involvement in strategic initiatives implemented by the corporate team to achieve business improvements and value creation
- Providing support in the preparation of monthly management reporting schedules and reports
- Providing support in budget and strategy roll-up and reporting process
- Complete monthly and ad hoc analysis for stakeholders

requirements
- Registered CA(SA), with 3- 5 years post articles experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Proven ability to plan, organise and work methodically
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Experience in preparation of annual financial statements
- Strong IFRS knowledge
