Financial Controller / Accountant - Faircape Group

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Full credit control function 

• Collections (Telephonic and Letters)
• Legal handovers/liaising with attorneys
• Review of age analysis and reporting on overdue
• Reconciliation of debtors' accounts
• Customer queries
• Sending out statements
• Invoices and Credit notes
• Levy clearance consents
• Issuing figures
• Preparing consents and Levy clearance documentation
• Registrations of new owner accounts

Full Creditors and Cashbooks Function 

• Cashbook
• Daily cashbook uploads and allocations
• Bank Recons
• Overall maintenance of the Cashbook 
• Processing of daily payments
• Suppliers 
• Refunds
• Statutory
• Clearing suspense account
• Capturing of supplier invoices
• Preparing supplier reconciliations
• Assist with audit queries where necessary
• Filing
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as directed 

Management accounts/Financial statements

• Monthly management accounts of multiple entities including but not limited to
• Balance sheet reporting and reconciliations
• Review of income statements
• Monthly Statutory returns
• Annual review of financials and audit prep/liaising with auditors
• YE journals

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Completed relevant accounting qualifications non-negotiable 

Experience and Knowledge:

• 3 years experience in Bookkeeping/accounting to TB
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and bank reconciliations
• Solid knowledge of the debtor's function, bank reconciliations and payment function
• Experience in management accounts preparation
• Experience with statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, IT)
• Sound accounting knowledge 
• Strong spreadsheet skills
