IT Manager - Power Fashion

Purpose

Formulate, plan, implement and manage IT strategies, investments, projects, and operations that will drive the business forward. Lead the delivery of IT systems and services to fulfil the division's information systems requirements to enable the achievement of business strategy. 

Enable business performance through the implementation of suitable systems and technology platforms. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term IT strategies to support the business objectives. Contribute to the divisional strategy by providing information, advice, insights, and support with regard to IT.

IT Operations and Security                          

• Oversee IT operations, processes and infrastructure and monitor performance to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure IT processes are in place to enable effective communication and operations between departments and divisions of the business.
• Review IT processes and performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Always ensure that the technology landscape is secure and safe from any external hacking or phishing attacks that could cause reputational damage and information leakage.                          

Leadership and Team Management                        

• Lead the IT team, by clarifying roles, and setting clear direction and performance objectives.  Identify and drive succession planning, structure, talent management, training, and development requirements to ensure that teams are competent, engaged and enabled to perform optimally

Project Management                    

• Develop, implement, and evaluate IT projects in line with business objectives. Defines project scope and plan to deliver projects on time within budget and to specified quality requirements. 
• Manage project amendments and communication throughout the project life cycle.         

Risk Management                           

• Ensure good governance, risk management and compliance within the IT department and the IT operations across the rest of the business.  Identify risk and provide and implement contingency plans. 
• Keep abreast of legislative requirements and best practices and ensure that IT projects and operations comply with all relevant legal requirements.

Budgets

• Control and monitor IT budgets and investments to ensure profitable returns that will enable the achievement of commercials goals.  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology/computer science or related field; Master’s degree is preferred
• 10 years + IT experience of which 8 years should be a senior management level
• Strategic Planning; People Management; IT Process Management; Retail; Project Management; Risk Management; Vendor Management;

• Software Development lifecycle
• Understanding of retail ERP systems, Point of Sales systems, networking and IT security
