Location: ZAF - Durban, Margaret Mncadi Ave (John Ross House)

Main Purpose:

Client Liaison /origin and destination offices/border agents. Forwarding , import clearance and exports into Africa

Duties include:

• Forwarding of cargo
• Liaising with origin offices/shipping lines
• Register shipments on Cargowise
• Work on Purchase Order Management (EDC6)
• Releasing of shipments (imports)
• Importing Invoices
• Costing / Invoicing of files
• Actioning reports
• Actioning Queries
• Tracking
• Updating Milestones
• Liaising transporters/border agents/destination offices
• Co-ordination of movement of cargo into cross border countries
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Own reliable transport to and from work
• Perform function with minimal supervision

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Code 08 drivers licence(unendorsed) is a recommendation
• 3 years experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Road freight & import experience will be beneficial

Added advantages for this role:

• Previous experience in the freight forwarding environment will be advantageous
• Must have sound knowledge of outlook/excel
• Forwarding / Import and road freight experience (minimum 3 years experience)
• Knowledge of Cargowise / Purchase Order Management(EDC6) will be an added advantage
