Business Need/Purpose of Role:
Weir Minerals AME has an opportunity for a Technician Assistant located at our Mokopane branch to assist technicians to perform maintenance and service-related duties within the Service Centre or on client sites.
Key Tasks:
Including but not limited to:
Assist Service Technician/s with maintenance and repair work on site or in branch
Assist with installation of pumps and other Weir products
Assist with installation and assembling of pumps and other Weir products on site or in branch
General assistance as and when required
Cleaning and prepping of parts
Dismantling of pumps and bearing assemblies
Ability to identify solutions to improve equipment or processes on and off site
Preparing Weir equipment for assembly
Assembling and spray painting
Load and unload trucks when required
Delivery of Weir spares when required
Help with implementing mine HS&E

Standby and overtime as and when required from time to time
Adhere to HSE and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times
Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 / N3 Certificate
Valid driver’s licence
Minimum Experience:
2-3 years’ experience in Minerals Processing Plants
Minimum Skills/Abilities:
Clear communication at all levels
Able to solve problems in a timely manner
Able to read technical drawings
