As Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, to provide clinical support to patients by assisting the Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse in the delivery of nursing care duties in accordance with quality standard and approved safety regulations as well as the scope of practice of the of an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.

Specification

  • Perform all duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards.
  • Adhere to the principles and standards of patient advocacy according to the SANC acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, patient rights and Responsibility charter, National Millennium Development goals and the responsibility of continuous professional development (CPD).

  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors, and other stakeholders by immediately highlighting any safety risks or disasters and calling for assistance from health support and support personnel when necessary.
  • Drive a positive patient (customer) experience by putting patients first and deliver holistic customer orientated service.
  • Inform and educate patients about the Groups complaints procedure and ‘The voice” platform.
  • Adhere to standards and procedures to reduce wastage and unnecessary costs and report associated risks to the Registered Nurse or Unit Manager as and when these arise. The wastage comes in the form of stock and equipment.
  • Undertake personal professional development through attendance of workshops and in-service training and any other appropriate training including mandatory health and safety training for the area of work.

 

Requirements

  • Grade 12.
  • Higher Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing.
  • Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • 1 year+ experience in a Nursing care environment.
  • Previous experience in private healthcare is advantageous.
  • Computer literacy.
