Quality Auditor - Mr Price Home

Mr Price Home is looking for a passionate Quality Auditor to support the quality assurance process and to partner with the merchant team to provide value-driven merchandise.

Reporting to the Senior Quality Auditor, this role would be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the agreed minimum performance requirements through bulk inspections to ensure compliance.

This role requires the ability to critically assess bulk production and bulk orders prior to delivery.  The Quality Auditor role requires an understanding of performance and industry standards, minimum performance requirements of hardline and Softline products.

It also requires experience on acceptable quality levels of products under various conditions to provide assurance that meet the product specification in line with the Consumer Protection Act.              

Requirements

• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Production or Manufacturing.
• At least 2 years previous auditing experience within a manufacturing environment/ or as a quality technologist.
• A valid South African, driver’s license to conduct audits on the road
• An understanding of quality requirements, performance standards and the ability to review and update these requirements annually.
• The ability to evaluate various reports which accompany the sealed sample
• A basic understanding of product specifications, fabrics, product testing and manufacturing processes.
• The ability to carry out quality projects to support continuous improvement within the QA department.
• The ability to problem solve at supplier and store level.
• The ability to build strong work relationships.
• Must be able to effectively communicate changes or delays to relevant stakeholders (merch dept, QA team, QA manager) and to raise quality concerns timeously with all stakeholders
