Maintenance Artisan - Omnia

The Maintenance Artisan shall be responsible for performing maintenance work. This includes but not limited to: Breakdown (24 hrs), planned and preventative maintenance. Hands on individual with a tenacity to take on any & all mechanical work.

Duties

Core Deliverables includes but not limited to:

• Breakdown (24 hours), planned and preventative maintenance
• Continuous and sustainable site improvement Service steam generator/ boiler and ancillary equipment
• PVC & poly prop piping and welding
• Coded welding (mild steel and stainless steel)
• Service and repair cooling towers
• Service and repair centrifuge
• Plumbing; basic concrete + bricklaying

• Cleaning of drains; sumps and vessels
• Painting and corrosion control
• Signage and demarcation
• Continuous and sustainable site improvement

House-keeping:

• Co-ordinating safe working practices
• Act in the role of maintenance manager when required
• Assist in procuring spares Managing projects
• Ensure continuous manufacturing process with minimal downtime

• Excellent communication skills
• A service orientated, hands-on approach to problems
• Ability to function accurately under pressure

Flexibility Undertaking:

The successful candidate shall be required to perform any other reasonable tasks / services from time to time as required by the business which fall within candidates skills and capabilities.

Qualifications

Matric Relevant trade test in either Electrical/Mechanical/Boilermaker/Millwright etc. A tertiary qualification advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 5 years years experience in a process environment or similar
• Boiler making and/or fitting & turning
• Coded pipe & plate welding (Mild steel, stainless steel)
• Strip, repair and assemble pumps (mono, centrifugal, air diaphragm, multistage)
• Agitator seal assembly, agitator gear boxes
• Coded Pipe-Welder
• Drivers License
