What you will be working on
The MeasureStore team is changing the way we look at and think about our data. As a new, integral part of the Zappi ecosystem, we will be taking the MeasureStore from PoC to production-ready to deliver a high-performance, highly available data store.
The team is going to be remote-first, with most of the team members based in London at this point. We will be working in a high-performing team environment, with a focus on quality and speed of development.

You will be helping us design and build the platform from the ground up, where we will be able to select the best language and technologies for the job. The system will need to handle traffic 24/7, operate with extreme data integrity, and requires no-downtime deployments. The key challenges that we will face surround the implementation of a graph database that can query data in a matter of milliseconds, building a system that is highly available and able to scale according to demand, as well as integrating this with other applications.
The ideal candidate is self-motivating, passionate about designing and building high-quality systems, willing to adapt to new languages and learn new technologies to solve difficult problems, has experience working with highly available systems, and can work in a data-driven and continuously improving environment.
The team and engineering function practices continuous integration and deploys to production multiple times per day, on an auto-scaling Kubernetes cluster running on AWS.
Requirements
You will need to be able to demonstrate the characteristics of a senior/experienced engineer (this is generally more than 4 years of experience)
You can demonstrate how you add value to a team as a senior engineer, and what you expect from a high performing team
You have transferable technical experience. We don’t need deep expertise in our tech stack if you can demonstrate your ability to learn new technologies
You have the right to work in the location advertised or in any of our supported remote working countries
