The Faircape Group constitutes a group of companies with interests in several activities including Telecommunications, fibre provisioning, an ISP, Water, and Electricity Utility Management and infrastructure installation, Property Management, and related activities.
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to take responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing, and running of all the finance activities of the Faircape Group. This would include accounting and accounting controls of the various entities within the company, To evolve the strategic planning and long-term financial goals of the Group.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Leadership, Direction & Management
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting teams consisting of 12 staff
- Responsible for reviewing financial systems, internal controls, and procedures

- Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
- Ensuring cashbooks, age analysis, are completed for the monthly management account packs
- Planning and coordinating the external audit process
- Review the Annual Financial Statements of all entities
- The solution is driven and have the ability to identify, develop & implement effective work processes, procedures and controls.
Strategy
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team
- Define financial requirements against mandated goals and objectives
Reporting
- Reporting to the Group Administration Manager
- Set budgets for each company and division.
- Analyze monthly accounts
- Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc as per due dates scheduled
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
- Ensure all department deliverables are met on time
- Monitor the actual use of financial resources against the approved budget
- Produce financial reporting that shows the organization’s financial position, operating performance, and cash flow over a period of time through the use of financial statements
- Create management reports regularly that are relevant to decision-making processes
Qualifications:
B.Com Honours in Accounting/Management Accounting
Experience and Knowledge:
- 3 - 5 Years experience in commercial/corporate/operational environment in a managerial role
- Solid knowledge of financial processes, systems, and related laws
- Proven leadership skills are essential (experience in managing a corporate finance team/department)

- Experience in a commercial environment, including developing & implementing effective work processes, procedures, and controls
- Excellent computer skills (experience in Google Drive, Docs, sheets advantageous)

Working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00.
Flexible hours can be negotiated.
With centrally located modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary from R45,000.00 Cost to Company per month.
