Purpose of Position:
To perform bench work according to set criteria and standards on all benches in the Microbiology Laboratory and media department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
- Perform general tasks order to assist with maintaining best practice within the laboratory
- Perform receiving and resulting tasks on the Meditech System in order to ensure correct handling, preparing and recording of specimens and results
- Process specimens on benches in order to ensure sufficient delivery of results
Requirements:
Grade 12 with English, Biology (Life Sciences) and Mathematics (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required)

Knowledge:
- HPCSA regulations,
- Meditech system,
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)
