Are you a highly organised, motivated individual with a passion for numbers and deadline driven? Mr Price Money is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the financial records of the business are maintained in compliance with lawful accounting and business practices. The key focus of this role will involve the collection and maintenance of financial data, providing financial analysis support to the business by preparing its financial statements in an accurate and timeous manner and Project Management.
Responsibilities
- Account Management
- Complex balance sheet account reconciliations
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyse financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts

- Financial statement consolidations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Monthly preparation of Group reporting and board pack preparation
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems, internal controls and procedures.
- Provide input into department’s target setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Annual statutory pack preparation
- Daily expense and payment approvals
- Third party reconciliation review
- Plan, assign and review staff’s work
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ad-hoc Project Involvement and Management
- New accounting standards implementation when applicable (IFRS)
- Identification of automation opportunities and implementation
- Reporting
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Assisting the FM with the preparation of year-end accounts and providing information for external auditors.
- Assisting the FM with the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial databases.

Requirement
- BCOM Accounting qualification
- Newly Qualified CA or maximum 1-year post articles experience/CIMA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Commercial Acumen
