The role of the Storeman includes the management of stock and equipment.
Main Duties:
The role involves but is not limited to the below responsibilities:
- Create a new Bin location
- Transfer parts from internal locations to valid locations
- Daily verification and resolve queries from all customers
- Physical receipt of all local and imported parts and goods
- Verify materials received against supplier delivery notes/invoices/computer prints
- Receive stock onto the system utilizing a scanner
- Attach GRV’s to correct stock
- Resolve receiving queries
- Shelve parts and materials in the correct location utilizing material handling equipment
- Safekeeping of warehouse stocks
- Maintain warehouse equipment
- Dispatch rejected parts to local suppliers

- Prepare stillages for dispatch
- Adhere to Housekeeping, Health, and Safety rules
- Attend to required office administration
- Attend to daily material equipment checks.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 1-year experience working in consumable stores issuing parts and creating MS Part numbers
- Minimum 1-year general Maintenance/Consumables stores in an automotive environment
- Knowledge of SAP consumables
- Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
