Job Description:

The focus for this role will be to:

• Achieving safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment.
• Conducting and participating in Risk assessments, attend, conduct safety meetings and comply to environmental requirements.
• Attending to breakdowns and emergencies as required and ensure that material, spares, equipment are available as required and exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components.
• Ensuring proper and adequate on the job training and coach subordinates.
• Maintaining a high quality of work, records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format and complete job cards and description of work and spares used.

This role is in the Engineering Department at a C2 level reporting to the Boilermaker Foreman.

Qualifications:

• Grade 10 or Technical Trade specific N2 qualification.
• Certified Competent as Boilermaker or Boilermaker Trade Certificate.

Experience & technical skills required:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a plant environment
• Must be able to work standby and overtime.
• Valid driving license code 08.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Certificate of Fitness.
• English literate (speak, read and write).
