We are looking for a Pattern Maker that will develop the master pattern and Tech pack in a wide range of sizes and designs that will be produced with sewing directions for the seamstresses to create garments
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for completion of the master production pattern for various size ranges and design silhouettes.
- Will be responsible to create basic blocks for all fabric types in various silhouettes
- Create patterns from design sketch on a computer (via manipulation of blocks or adjustment of the existing pattern) to achieve the desired style and correct fit.
- Ensure that each pattern is developed within the set standards of size, construction methods and pattern making quality standards.
- Check each pattern for accuracy throughout the process and quality of each pattern.
- To assess garments once made up from a pattern for quality of workmanship and fit
- To be able to advise the factory of alternative construction methods and pattern engineering to obtain a better fit.
- To work with internal Garment technologists to be able to develop or send block patterns to suppliers to base new styling and fit on.
- To be able to build and maintain a library of patterns in computer from suppliers to ensure their grading is correct at PPS stage.
- To be able to digitise manual patterns into pattern system in order to save patterns into the pattern library.

requirements
- 5 - 10 years patternmaking experience across Ladies / Men’s & Kids (Ladies being a non-negotiable).
- Thorough Knowledge of technical pattern making and clothing construction.
- Knowledge of grading essential.
- Computer-Aided Patternmaking skills is a must (Lectra would be an added advantage).
- Ability to work with large volumes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
- Be able to develop, maintain and grow supplier relationships
