Code 10 Driver at Golden Harvest

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB:

• Ensure that all invoiced products are loaded into the truck before leaving the company premises.
• Ensure no equipment losses / breakages.
• Update vehicle log book daily.
• Ensure documentation contains correct information, stamped and signed by applicable person.
• Report all defects / accidents immediately to the Truck Maintenance Supervisor / relevant person.
• Check vehicle before driving to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order and complete daily check list.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as petrol, oil, water, lights, and brakes according to company procedures.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures when transporting produce / goods.
• Ensure that the truck is neat and tidy at all times.
• Obey any other reasonable instruction in terms of teamwork.

WORK CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

• Monday to Friday 06h30 to 15h30 Saturday: 06h30 to 11h30
• Overtime, shiftwork and public holiday may be required by your department due to operational requirements and there might be a possibility of a night shift in future.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum: Matric (Grade 12 of NQF equivalent)
• Valid Code 10 Drivers license and PDP
• At least 2 years Driving experience in a logistics or FMCG environment
• Previous experience in a FMCG environment essential
• Previous experience working with Retail customers advantageous
• Yearly Medical Checks to ensure PDP renewals are necessary

Experience:
